Unfortunately water damage is not considered a manufacturer's defect, and would not be covered under warranty. A spilled drink that is immediately and thoroughly cleaned up is not an issue. Make sure the furniture is dry and if you’ve seen Gremlins, probably don’t try to feed it after midnight either. The concern is when liquid is left sitting on the laminated particleboard. It isn’t made of sugar, and won’t melt, but the resulting water rings or expanded wood will not add to the beauty, either. Cups that are used without coasters and the hidden puddles from planters are some of the top offenders.
